An investment round headed by Singularity Growth Opportunities Fund and includes Rs 15 crore ($2 million) in  venture financing from Trifecta Capital has closed for XYXX, a millennial-friendly brand in the men's innerwear and  comfort-wear space. The financing was joined by previous investors Sauce Venture Capital and DSG Consumer  Partners.

On August 24, the agritech startup Loopworm announced that it had secured $3.4 million in seed funding from investors led by Omnivore and WaterBridge Ventures.

On Saturday, Nirmala Sitharaman, the Finance Minister of India, announced the "Millet Challenge" for startups.

On Tuesday, Alkesh Kumar Sharma, the secretary of the Ministry of Electronics and IT (Meity), announced that the government aims to promote more than 10,000 startups in the next 5–6 years under the GENESIS programme.

Bengaluru-based Fintech startup, MoneyPlanned has secured funding from Expert Dojo, Mr Sameer Khan, Mr Ajay Prabhu and a clutch of other prominent angels.
