'Happy 60th to my best friend!' Indian-Origin CEO hosts extravagant b'day party for Mom in pure Bollywood style

Indian-origin entrepreneur Akash Mehta went all out to celebrate his mother’s 60th birthday. The co-founder and CEO of Fable and Mane, an Ayurvedic-inspired hair wellness brand, posted a clip on Instagram sharing glimpses into the celebration, which he jokingly compared to a “wedding".

Mehta hosted the extravagant four-event birthday party in Dubai, grabbing the attention of social media users for its grandeur. The celebration begins with a few restaurant staff standing with their hands locked.

The text on the clip said, “Security is tight here, someone’s coming…"

That’s when his mother, Chetna Mehta, walked into the venue wearing a chic red gown, dancing her way into the place.

The entrepreneur greeted his mother with a kiss on the cheek and wished her a happy special day.

Actor Shakti Kapoor, whom Akash called “a famous Bollywood villain", was also seen in the birthday bash. The actor and a few others did a special Bollywood-style skit with Chetna Mehta.

In a humorous twist, the entrepreneur’s father was seen with a mini suitcase filled with gold bars to “rescue” his wife from the villain after the skit. Akash gave a special speech for his Mom. Then arrived a beautiful red doll cake, closing the end of the first event, but not the celebrations.

Next, the mother-son duo was seen at a “Bhakti fest", or a sacred musical morning, where Indian Idol’s Nitin Kumar performed.

Following this, the entrepreneur organised a seaside soiree where guests enjoyed a variety of drinks and food. He and his mother were captured shaking a leg on the dance floor.

The final event of the celebration was a desert night. Professional belly dancers and stuntmen were seen performing at the event.

In the caption, Akash Mehta wrote, “Happy 60th birthday to my best friend! Love you beyond words, Chetna Mehta. Mum, your four-event celebration honestly felt like a wedding, but seeing you smile and dance every day with your closest friends and family made me the happiest son."

“Honestly thought that was Kylie Minogue in the first clip! What a Glam Mom!! God bless," one individual commented.

Someone else said, “She looks younger than me, and I’m only 25."
