NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang recently commented that the Indian Prime Minister, Narendra Modi had asked him to speak before his Cabinet on the potential of AI around six years back. “It was literally the first time any government leader, any national leader, asked me to address his Cabinet on this particular topic. It was long before anybody was talking about artificial intelligence,” Huang disclosed.

“I have enjoyed so many meetings with the prime minister. He is such an incredible student, and every time I see him, he wants to learn about technology, artificial intelligence, the potential and opportunity for India, the impact on Indian society and industry,” the NVIDIA CEO added.
Modi's foresight on AI & Tech
Incidentally, Zepto CEO Aadit Palicha also recently praised PM Modi for building a conducive atmosphere for the startup ecosystem in the country.
Interestingly, in the latest 2024 Lok Sabha elections, the Indian Prime Minister used AI to translate his speeches into several Indian languages and shared them on social media.
According to Jensen Huang, PM Modi had understood the importance of AI several years ago. It seems India is truly “shining” with a prospective future in the field of technology.
