Jensen Huang, the CEO of US tech giant Nvidia met the Indian PM Narendra Modi in a roundtable conference in New York and expressed his desire to partner with India on Artificial Intelligence (AI).
Headquartered in California, Nvidia is a multinational company that is a dominant supplier of artificial intelligence (AI) hardware and software.
Praising India and Modi, Huang remarked that this is the moment for India to shine. And that businesses should seize the opportunity to do business with India.
The Nvidia CEO was among the 15 technology industry leaders who participated in the roundtable held at the Lotte New York Palace Hotel on Sunday.
Huang also mentioned that India is home to the world's greatest computer scientists and that his company Nvidia is looking forward to partnering with India on the new path of AI.

"India, as you know, is also home of some of the world's greatest computer scientists. So this is a great opportunity. Artificial intelligence is also a new industry, a new manufacturing industry that's very important and so I'm looking forward to partner with India in a very deep way to make that possible" Huang has said.
Huang expressed his joy in meeting the Indian PM and called him "an incredible student" who wants to learn about technology and AI to explore the opportunities in his country.
The CEO also shared that India being the third largest country in the startups needs the AI infrastructure to sustain the startup ecosystem.
"For all of the startups. India is the home of the third largest startup economy and so this new generation of startups are all based on AI and in order to do so, you have to have AI infrastructure, just the number of partnerships we have all over India," Huang remarked.
He added that every IIT (Indian Institute of Technology) has an Nvidia AI Centre of Excellence where teaching professionals teach students how to upskill in this new field of AI. According to Huang, AI has democratized computing.
PM meets tech leaders from the US
Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with technology industry leaders in a high-profile roundtable hosted by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), School of Engineering in New York. CEOs of American tech giants spoke on innovation, collaboration, and India's growing tech space.
The roundtable saw the participation of leaders from companies specializing in artificial intelligence, quantum computing, semiconductors, and biotechnology. It was attended by eminent CEOs like Google's Sundar Pichai, Nvidia's Jensen Huang, and Adobe's Shantanu Narayen.
The meeting was part of the Prime Minister’s three-day visit to the United States, with its second leg in New York.
