Mumbai-Based Personal Care Brand mCaffeine Reports 21% Revenue Growth to Rs 239 Crore in FY25; Narrows Loss 81% to Rs 17.6 Crore

Mumbai-based mCaffeine reported 21% revenue growth to Rs 239.2 crore in FY25, narrowing its net loss by 81% and turning operating cash flow positive.

Personal care brand mCaffeine, posted 21% increase in revenue in FY25, reaching Rs 239.2 crore, up from Rs 197.6 crore in FY24, according to its financial statements sourced from Registrar of Companies (RoC).

Alongside topline growth, the company reduced its total expenses by 13% to Rs 251.7 crore in FY25, compared to Rs 290.3 crore in FY24. Employee benefit expenses declined sharply by 31% to Rs 26.6 crore in FY25 from Rs 38.5 crore in FY24.

Marketing expenses fell 14% to Rs 95.8 crore in FY25, down from Rs 111 crore in FY24. The cost of goods sold increased marginally to Rs 65.7 crore in FY25 from Rs 62 crore in FY24. Finance costs stood at Rs 1.3 crore in FY25.

The company narrowed its net loss by 81% to Rs 17.6 crore in FY25, compared to Rs 92.7 crore in FY24. On a unit economics basis, mCaffeine spent Rs 1.06 to earn every rupee of revenue in FY25, significantly improving from Rs 1.50 in FY24.

mCaffeine also reported positive cash flow from operating activities of Rs 5.2 crore in FY25, a marked turnaround from a negative Rs 69.34 crore in FY24.

Its portfolio comprises more than 95 caffeine-based products across key categories, including Body Care, Face Care, Hair Care, Eye Care, and Lip Care.

The company has won several accolades, including Best Choco Body Butter at the Nykaa Femina Beauty Awards 2022 and recognition among Grazia India’s Most Loved Brands 2021.

On the funding front, mCaffeine raised $2 million in its Series A round led by RP-SG Ventures in June 2019. In September 2020, it secured Rs 42 crore in a Series B round from Amicus Capital, along with RPSG Ventures and Aman Gupta, Founder of boAt Audio, with participation from existing investor Telama Investments. The company later raised Rs 240 crore in a Series C funding round led by Paragon Partners.
