Bengaluru-based fast-fashion startup NEWME clocked 3.7X growth to Rs 183.5 crore revenue in FY25, while its net loss widened sharply to Rs 96.7 crore amid rising expenses.

Fast fashion brand NEWME recorded a 3.7X surge in revenue, to Rs 183.5 crore in FY25, up from Rs 49.7 crore in FY24, according to its financial statements sourced from Registrar of Companies (RoC). 

The company generated Rs 179.2 crore from operations and Rs 4.3 crore from other income, taking its total revenue to Rs 183.5 crore in FY25. 

Employee benefit expenses rose sharply to Rs 29.2 crore in FY25, marking a 3.5X increase from Rs 8.2 crore in FY24. The cost of goods sold climbed to Rs 116 crore in FY25, compared to Rs 36 crore in the previous fiscal. Finance costs stood at Rs 1.6 crore during the year.

Advertisement and sales promotion expenses tripled to Rs 56 crore in FY25, up from Rs 18.25 crore in FY24. Overall, total expenditure escalated to Rs 280 crore in FY25, significantly higher than Rs 85.5 crore recorded in FY24.

The company reported a net loss of Rs 96.7 crore in FY25, widening 2.7X from Rs 35.8 crore in FY24. On a unit economics basis, NEWME spent Rs 1.56 to earn every rupee of revenue in FY25, improving from Rs 1.77 in FY24.

About NEWME

NEWME is a Bengaluru-based fast-fashion technology brand primarily targeting Gen Z women aged 18–24 across India and Southeast Asia. Founded in 2022 by Sumit Jasoria, Shivam Tripathi, Vinod Naik, and Himanshu Chaudhary. The company operates as a digital-first platform offering affordable, trend-driven apparel and accessories inspired by global fashion movements.

The brand leverages a data-driven model to identify emerging styles and design trends, similar to global fast-fashion player Shein. Through its NEWME Zip service, it promises delivery within 30 to 90 minutes in Bengaluru. While predominantly an online brand, NEWME has also expanded its offline presence with retail stores in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Delhi.

In January 2024, the company raised $5.4 million (Rs 45 crore) in a seed funding round led by Fireside Ventures. It subsequently secured $18 million in a Series A round led by Accel, with participation from existing investors including Fireside Ventures and AUM Ventures, in July 2024. In its latest funding round, NEWME raised Rs 108.66 crore (approximately $12 million), co-led by existing investors Accel India and Fireside Ventures, at a valuation of Rs 988 crore (around $112 million).

To date, the company has raised a total of $35.5 million in funding.
