About 82°E
82°E is a modern Indian self-care brand co-founded in 2021 by Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone and Jigar K. Shah. The company follows a “Cleanse–Hydrate–Protect” philosophy, offering skincare and body care products that blend traditional Indian ingredients with modern scientific formulations.
The name 82°E is inspired by 82°30' East, the standard meridian that defines Indian Standard Time, reflecting its “born in India, for the world” ethos.
In December 2022, the company secured $7.5 million (approximately Rs 62 crore) in seed funding from investors including DSG Consumer Partners and KA Enterprises (Padukone’s family office).
To make its products more accessible to value-conscious consumers, the brand introduced “mini” sizes starting at ₹450. Its portfolio includes cleansers, moisturisers, sunscreens, face oils, and under-eye creams.
In February 2024, 82°E expanded into men’s personal care with the launch of its 82°E Man range.
