Goyal is one of those entrepreneurs who like to understand their business through experiencing ground-level job positions. On one hand, it helped him understand the work challenges of the delivery partners. On the other hand, it allowed him to directly connect with his customers and see if they faced any issues while receiving a Zomato delivery.

Netizens have given mixed reactions to this food delivery stint.

An Instagrammer commented, “The only person happy with Zomato is its CEO.”

Zomato is a restaurant aggregator and food delivery company from India. Founded by Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah in 2008 it provides information, menus, and customer reviews of restaurants along with food delivery options from partner restaurants in Indian cities and towns. Swiggy is its rival company.

Incidentally, a recent incident related to Deepinder Goyal is doing the rounds on social media. A customer called out to the Zomato CEO on Instagram for charging significantly higher prices for the same order placed at a restaurant.
