Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal announces a concert by pop star Dua Lipa on November 30, headlining this year’s Zomato Feeding India Concert.

“Zomato Feeding India Concert (ZFIC) is back! Headlining this year’s event is my favourite global pop icon Dua Lipa, an inspiration to millions worldwide!” Goyal wrote on X.

Goyal said the initiative is to strengthen “India's resolve to eradicate malnutrition and hunger in the country through community mobilisation.”

Dua Lipa will perform in India on November 30, 2024. The concert will take place in Mumbai, at the MMRDA Ground in Bandra-Kurla Complex. The venue will be divided into two zones - Gold and Silver, according to the Zomato website. It will also feature a lounge, a merchandise store, several bars, restrooms, and food & beverage counters.

You can buy the tickets through the Zomato app. The HSBC pre-sale of tickets begins on August 27, while the general sale will go live on August 29. The prices for the Dua Lipa concert tickets are yet to be announced.

Jonita Gandhi and Talwiinder will also perform at the concert on November 30. There's no minimum age for entry, but children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult, and a separate ticket is required for children aged 6 and older. The ZFIC will begin at 3 pm and go on till 10 pm on November 30.

The Feeding India Concert is organised by Zomato's Feeding India initiative to fight malnutrition. This concert was first organized in 2022 when Post Malone performed in India. Zomato pledged 10 meals for each ticket sold at the time.

Social Media Reaction:

Online users are showing excitement over the Dua Lipa concert announcement by the Zomato CEO.

One user wrote, "Absolutely adore Dua Lipa, and super-excited that she's gonna perform in India. But there's no relationship between a concert and “eradicating malnutrition”. Ambani paying pop stars millions of $ to dance at their family weddings is different. You could've spent resources more responsibly."

Another user commented, "This is fantastic news! I love how Zomato is using the platform of music to raise awareness about malnutrition. With Dua Lipa on board, I can already feel the energy! I’m looking forward to the concert and contributing to such a meaningful cause. Who else is planning to grab their tickets?"
