“I've Done Far More Deals Than You,” Snapdeal's Kunal Bahl Tells boAt Lifestyle’s Aman Gupta on Shark Tank India

Shark Tank India, the popular business reality series is now readying up for its fourth season. A newly released teaser hints at heightened drama, both between the new entrepreneurs pitching their ideas and among the ‘sharks’ themselves.

The teaser opens with Snapdeal CEO Kunal Bahl, the latest addition to the panel, locking horns with The Naturik Co. Next, Bahl concurs to investing Rs 4 crore, much to the surprise of boAt Lifestyle’s Aman Gupta.

Shaadi.com’s Anupam Mittal quickly matches the offer, intensifying the competitive atmosphere. Lenskart CEO Peyush Bansal and Emcure Pharmaceuticals’ executive director, Namita Thapar step in with their offers for different pitches. 

Bahl criticizes the concept of royalty, calling it a “tool used to exploit entrepreneurs”, adding that investments don’t involve such complications. 

Meanwhile, Namita Thapar takes a dig at the “new shark”.

Bahl seems to be in a serious competitive mood criticizing other sharks. He even sparks a heated exchange with Aman Gupta.

“You can’t go into this individually,” Gupta tells him coolly.

Bahl responds, “I know how to make deals.”

Gupta quips, “It’s your first time on Shark Tank, right?” 

Bahl retorts, “But I’ve done many deals, far more than you.”

The promo closes dramatically with Anupam Mittal telling a contestant that encouragement isn’t enough to build a business, waving a cheque in their direction and asking, “Shall I tear it away then?” as the entrepreneurs decide to accept or reject the deal.

“This season, the sharks are hungrier than ever,” the promo teases.

Netizens react

After watching the promo, netizens have compared Kunal Bahl to former shark Ashneer Grover. They speculated whether he would be the next Ashneer Grover on the show after seeing Deepinder Goyal in the previous season.

An X user wrote, “Man what is this? He's going to be my third favourite Shark.”

A second user mentioned, “He is looking like Ashneer Grover.” 

Another individual wrote, "Ashneer Grover but in a sophisticated professional way."

Someone else commented the show is becoming more like a drama. “No deal anymore...it is now a drama show.”
