Shaadi.com CEO Anupam Mittal said what you promote on social media will get sold.

The multimillionaire angel investor remarked, “Jo social media pe dikhta hai, vahi bikta hai” – is the new embodiment of marketing today.”

He elaborated that although these days customers are “fatigued” by “overt advertising” when a brand stays true and does something “unexpected” people accept it immediately. 

“The ‘unexpected’ does not have to be a BIG idea or an EXPENSIVE film or a super PLANNED reel,” the Shark Tank India judge remarked In a recent LinkedIn post. “In fact, quite the contrary.”

“It’s the little things that people relate to on a psychological, cultural and behavioural level,” he added.

Referring to the recent marketing collaboration between Swiggy and Shaadi.com, Mittal jokingly remarked someone from his team must be “manifesting” their own wedding with back-to-back promotions.  

“With these back-to-back bangers, it looks like someone on Shaadi.com’s team is manifesting their own wedding this year.”
