This Dhanteras, Delhi’s Mohit Jain was thrilled to order a one-gram gold coin through Blinkit. However, his excitement turned to disappointment when he received only 0.5 grams of gold instead. Recently, he detailed his order experience on X (formerly Twitter) which has gone viral.
The viral post
Captioning “Got scammed by Blinkit” Jain tweeted, “I ordered 1 gm gold coin from blinkit, along with the 1gm silver coin. It was all prepaid. I wasn't there at home to receive the order, so I gave the otp to my younger brother to get it received. After 20 mins I reached home and saw wrong item was delivered I. I got 0.5gm Malabar gold coin (rose design). What I ordered was 1 gm Mata lakshmi gold coin.”

Upon receiving his Blinkit delivery, Jain quickly realized that the 0.5-gram gold coin he received was not what he had ordered. Contrary to his expectations of a one-gram, 24kt Goddess Lakshmi gold coin, Jain was now left with a much smaller and less valuable item. Frustrated, he attempted to return but found himself at a dead-end as the return window had already closed.
Despite Jain's efforts to reach out to Blinkit's customer support, his attempts were met with automated responses informing him that the complaint window had closed.
This lack of personalized assistance only added to Jain's frustration, leaving him wondering how to proceed with his erroneous delivery. The inability to speak directly with a support executive further worsened his experience.
Netizens expressed concern demanding an immediate solution to Jain’s problem from Blinkit.

Blinkit responds
However, Jain expressed his grievances to the Blinkit team via email and was assured that the incorrect gold coin would be returned. This restored Jain's faith in the platform. He wrote on X that he was able to return the coin at last.
