The Bengaluru man, identified as Rakesh, shared his account as a reel on Instagram and captioned it: “Auto driver, not a corporate slave anymore. Motivating myself for tomorrow. Trying to help anyone who is about to quit.”

“Okay, guys, this is me riding an auto. And I'm not scared of starting all over again," he says in the reel. "So, this is for the people who think life is about to end and they are going through the hardest phase of life and they don't know what to do, this is for you.”

Without revealing the details of his past life, the man said that at one point, he had given up on life.

"I thought I would not recover and didn't know what to do. But here I am, driving an auto, and life is not going to end or defeat me. I am going to face life my way, so bring it on," he said.

In the video, Rakesh urges viewers to focus on living and finding meaning beyond money:

“Money is a necessity, I totally understand, but it is not the only necessity. There are other things that are also important. Find value for your life, find true purpose. And come what may, face it, don't run from it, don't hide.”

Netizens respond

After Rakesh's reel went viral, several users have lauded his courage.

“I don't see a man driving an auto, I see a man who won over ego and social taboo! You are inspiring!” said a user.

Another wrote, “Wow, brother. It takes real courage to step away from a comfortable corporate job and choose a path that gives you dignity, independence, and peace of mind.”

“It's dangerous to make life decisions by seeing anyone online,” warned another user. “You don’t know their backup… At the end of the day, everyone does what they want, and to do what they want is definitely a privilege.”
