Apple to launch Fitness+
iPhone maker Apple is about to launch its fitness and wellness service in 28 countries, including India, from December 15 onwards, the company said on Monday.
All about Apple Fitness+
The Fitness+ service is already available in 21 countries, including the US, UK, Russia, Canada, Australia, Brazil, France, Italy and Germany, among others.
"Apple Fitness+, the award-winning fitness and wellness service, is launching in India on December 15, as part of the service's largest expansion since its launch five years ago," the company said.
Fitness+ users in 49 countries can now access the service's 12 workout types, including Strength, Yoga, HIIT, Pilates, Dance, Cycling, Kickboxing and Meditation, with episodes ranging from 5 to 45 minutes on iPhone, iPad and Apple TV. To help make Fitness+ even more user-friendly for global customers, the service is introducing digitally dubbed versions of workouts and meditations in Spanish and German, with Japanese dubbing to follow early next year alongside the availability of the service in Japan. Additionally, the dubbed workouts and meditations feature a generated voice based on the actual voice of 28 Fitness+ trainers.
Apple will introduce a plan in India for just ₹149 per month, or ₹999 per year, which can be shared with up to five other family members.
What’s more, the company provides three months of Apple Fitness+ to customers who purchase any new Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad or Apple TV capable of running the latest operating system software, AirPods Pro 3 or Powerbeats Pro 2 purchased from Apple or an Apple Authorised Reseller.
Fitness+ users can compare their effort to others who have done the same workout.
Apple Music, comprising music genres such as Upbeat Anthems, Latest Hits, Hip-Hop and Latin Grooves, will be integrated with the feature.
"Fitness+ is turning up the volume with a new K-pop music genre that will be available across all workout types with global hits from top artists," the statement said.
Custom plans are available for users to follow a personalised schedule. Stay Consistent offers a premade schedule that fits users’ specific routines. On the other hand, the Push Further feature adds workout time or more sessions for those seeking a challenge. Get Started is for those new to Fitness+, providing a ready-made plan based on activities they selected when they first started their subscription or popular activities.
