Imagine this: you just received the Form 16 from the company you work for. It’s the first time you have crossed a salary bracket where you absolutely need to file your tax returns.

But, there’s something on Form 16 that looks unusual. Some deductions you have no clue about. You know you need to consult with a Chartered Accountant.

You hop onto Google, make a random search, click random links, and hope to connect with someone who has the expertise you need.

Amit Sharma, founder of QuickGo, wants to replace this hope with assurance.

“Every day, people need professional services like medical assistance, yoga support, and legal expertise. And every day, they hire these services through mere guesswork. I wanted to build something that helps customers directly connect with credible, licensed professionals. Alongside, professionals get tangible opportunities to scale their service businesses. That’s what we do at QuickGo,” Amit Sharma tells Startup Pedia in an exclusive interview.

Founded in 2025 and officially launched on 31 May, QuickGo is a Mohali-based smart marketplace where consumers get to connect with verified professionals across more than a hundred categories of beauty, fitness, wellness, tech, and legal.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Born and brought up in Chandigarh, Amit Sharma earned his Master’s degree in Information Technology from Kurukshetra University in Haryana.

He started his career with computer programming and quickly transitioned into roles like Project Manager and Marketing Analyst. In 2011, he set up TargetEveryone, a marketing automation platform.

“I started it with a Norwegian partner. I worked as the CTO there. We went on to list our venture on Sweden’s NASDAQ,” Amit shares.

In 2018, he exited the venture and began working on his own company tech, Red Orange Technologies.

Almost from the beginning of his career in entrepreneurship, Amit Sharma had been collaborating with people and building products targeted toward businesses and corporations. In 2023, he built an app called Appointusonline that helped organizations track their lead generation efforts, schedule calls, and outcomes.

“By then, I had gained an in-depth understanding of how tech products are developed and launched. But now, I wanted to do something that helped the direct customer. Something that made their lives easier and simpler,” entrepreneur Amit Sharma tells Startup Pedia.

Studying the Indian market, Amit saw two wide gaps in the service industry:

  1. Even though numerous services have now been organized, and there are fulfillment apps that facilitate the process of booking and delivering a service, individuals still struggle to jump from one app to another. A clear, unified solution is absent.

It may seem like all services (like cleaning, beauty, and medical) have been well-structured and organized, but it’s not the case. Users still depend on random internet searches to look for a local doctor, lawyer, yoga trainer, fitness trainer, etc. Additionally, the hyperlocal aspect is still largely missing.

“By 2023, I already had the idea to build a unified solution, a marketplace of sorts. My vision was to develop an all-in-one solution that removes the need to juggle multiple service apps. I started working on it in 2024 and ultimately launched QuickGo in 2025,” startup founder Amit Sharma says.

EARLY JOURNEY

In 2024, Amit Sharma transferred a significant number of people working with him on his previous venture to QuickGo.

This is one of the reasons why there were fairly negligible challenges in the journey of building the marketplace. As a founder, Amit already had a team in place that he trusted completely.

“I have worked with these people for more than 13 years. They aligned perfectly with my vision,” Amit mentions.

Amit Sharma bootstrapped QuickGo and started building the backend side of the product, conducting market research, and making a database of professionals that could be onboarded in the first phase.

“We established a core ethic early on: to onboard professionals only after a stringent background, skill, and experience check. QuickGo distinguishes itself through this,” co-founder Prakash Kattoli shares.

On May 31, QuickGo was officially launched in the Indian market.

QUICKGO: BOOK VERIFIED PROFESSIONALS INSTANTLY

Having just recently been released, QuickGo operates as an AI-based smart marketplace where consumers connect with verified professionals. Just like food apps like Zomato, professionals list their services. They excel in more than a hundred categories, from beauty and fitness to wellness, legal, tech, learning, and more.

Currently, the platform is commission-free for professionals as well as for customers.

As an online marketplace, QuickGo offers:

  1. Smart scheduling, multilingual access, and secure and seamless payments via credit cards, debit cards, UPI, Paytm, or Google Pay
  2. Hyperlocal search with real-time availability
“For instance, if you want to book a yoga therapist but need to have the session today, you can browse through yoga experts who are available in your locality at your preferred time. This speed will be game-changing for service discovery,” entrepreneur Amit Sharma shares.
  3. AI-powered chat and booking assistant that helps customers book service professionals with zero hassle.
  4. For customers, QuickGo offers a separate app tailored to their requirements. The same is for professionals.
“Making dual apps was necessary to keep things moving without any hiccups at all. Professionals, for instance, will have an entire dashboard where they can see their bookings, earnings, and upcoming schedules,” co-founder Prakash Kattoli adds.
  5. Supports remote, physical, and hybrid service channels. For online services, professionals and customers can use trusted platforms like Google Meet and Microsoft Teams to ensure ease and convenience.
"Unlike most platforms that either offer physical services or are just online, we’ve kept a mix of both, where users can decide and book accordingly. This will also bridge the knowledge gap and help someone, say, sitting in Bengaluru, to access a fitness expert operating in Delhi, Mumbai or anywhere else in India,” Amit Sharma explains.

The user journey at QuickGo is fairly simple: users go to the search bar and type their required service. Then, a streamlined list of all available professionals in the category appears. They can simply choose the one they like, press Book, and make the payment.

From service discovery to end-to-end completion, everything happens within QuickGo.

“QuickGo has a ratings and reviews system as well. Customers can share their honest feedback after each service. This helps keep things transparent and ensures that others can make more informed decisions when selecting professionals. This is extremely important for the portal to run smoothly,” says Amit Sharma.

FREEDOM, AGENCY, AND CHOICE

At QuickGo, users are not compelled to take the services of a professional that the system algorithm has sent their way. Instead, they get full access to a list of professionals that they can pick and choose from.

“This makes us stand out from other players in the market. A lot of times, our needs are very specific. And that’s why we should retain our agency and make an informed choice when it comes to hiring service professionals,” startup founder Amit Sharma says.

Additionally, QuickGo is financially empowering many women who had to step away from their careers due to marriage or childbirth. They now have the choice to register as professionals at QuickGo and monetize their skills – whether in health, finance, tech, or any other field they are proficient at.

People with physical disabilities also benefit significantly from QuickGo. They can offer their services online and get clients from all over the country, even if they can’t easily travel outside their local area.

“I am happy and proud to say QuickGo is built by Indians and built for Indians. We’re making professional services accessible and transparent for everyone, no matter where they live,” Amit adds.

LOOKING FORWARD

Since its launch, QuickGo has witnessed significant traction in terms of users and professionals. The AI-based online marketplace that serves as a service provider has already onboarded 500+ credible and experienced professionals across various categories. More than 3,000 are currently on the waitlist.

Apart from onboarding agencies and organizations like fitness and health clubs, Amit Sharma and his team have plans to soon expand QuickGo to the international markets, beginning with Norway and Sweden.

“I am confident that QuickGo will make users’ lives simple. Our goal is to keep adding convenience to everyone’s day-to-day routine and varying needs. We are effectively removing the guesswork from the service industry and bringing in confident assurance,” Amit Sharma signs off.
