Ola's Bhavish Aggarwal
Startup founder Shubham Mishra said that Bhavish Aggarwal-led Ola is repeating the same mistake battery-operated bike company Yobyke made ten years back.
Ola 'repeating' same mistake?
“10 years ago, Yobyke died because of service issues,” Mishra wrote on the social media platform X. “Ola is repeating the same mistake,” he added.
He further remarked that he had reached out to Aggarwal over email to resolve this together.
Mishra, the founder of EV DOCTOR, an AI-based battery diagnostics solution, said his company serves thousands of EV workshops, which can help their customers solve their problems.
“Many Ola customers (300+) have directly reached out to us last month, just asking for an unbiased battery checkup so that they can sue them,” he said, adding that Ola's software protocol doesn't allow any independent diagnostics.
Mishra further shared that as a result, consumers are filled with rage and shared a video clip to prove his point, where a man is seen setting fire to his Ola EV in front of the brand’s service centre.
“Terms and resolutions could have been discussed, but share market pricing, PR and FOMO marketing seems more of a priority now,” the EV DOCTOR founder said. “You deserve the credit of starting EV revolution again in 2021, but this makes me sad.”
Shubham Mishra ended the post on a positive note. “Let's solve this Bhavish, together..!” he concluded.
