In a time when businesses are going through numerous challenges due to the ongoing global crisis, Sahyadri Farms, India's leading Farmer Producer Company (FPC) in horticulture, has achieved a remarkable feat.

About Sahyadri Farms

Founded by Vilas Shinde in Nashik, Maharashtra in 2011, the agri-startup recently struck a record turnover of ₹1,548.9 crore in FY 2023-24, showcasing a significant 55 percent increase from the previous year.

Despite challenges such as rising input costs and the adverse effects of climate change on agriculture, Sahyadri Farms has proven to be resilient and adaptive.

The company's focus on research and development, operational efficiency, and sustainability has successfully navigated these global challenges.

One of the key drivers behind Sahyadri Farms' success is its ability to procure and process over 3,00,000 tonnes of crops from its extensive farmer network.

This represents a substantial 25 percent increase compared to the previous year, highlighting the company's commitment to expanding its operations while supporting local farmers.

Moreover, Sahyadri Farms has established Strategic Business Units (SBUs) dedicated to fresh exports, processed products, and domestic supply chain management. These units play a crucial role in the company's efforts to provide end-to-end solutions for farmers and consumers, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience for all stakeholders.

The farm’s impressive growth trajectory has not gone unnoticed by global investors. The company has attracted significant investments, enabling it to upgrade its infrastructure, enhance digital platforms, and strengthen its global distribution networks.

Speaking at the Annual General Body Meeting (AGM), Vilas Shinde said Sahyadri Farms has established itself as a global leader, exporting to over 40 countries, including major markets in Europe, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. The farm is India’s largest exporter of table grapes and has extended its offerings to bananas, pomegranates, and other fruits in international markets.

Speaking about the company's achievements, Shinde remarked, "For over a decade, we have focused on empowering farmers while creating sustainable value across the supply chain. As we continue to innovate and expand globally, we remain committed to benefiting our farmers, consumers, and the environment."
