Launched on July 1, the RailOne App brings all Indian rail services together to enhance the travel experience for passengers on long journeys. Furthermore, free OTT entertainment has been recently introduced in it to keep travellers engaged and entertained throughout their trips.

The RailOne App will show blockbuster movies, binge-worthy web series, documentaries, audio shows, and games during the train ride.

Developed by the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS), RailOne is India’s all-in-one rail travel app designed to simplify the journey.

With this app, users will no longer have to switch between multiple apps or websites to access different services like ticket booking, train status updates, and others.

The new app allows users to book and cancel train tickets fast and check real-time train status, such as arrivals, departures, delays, and running status.

Additionally, users get access to detailed information about train schedules, routes, and stoppages.

Passengers can check the booking's PNR status and monitor seat availability on different trains, and get information on facilities and amenities available at various railway stations. They can also submit feedback or raise issues to the Indian Railways customer service directly via RailOne.

Features of RailOne App

Apart from ticket booking for both reserved and unreserved travel, the app offers:

  • Live train tracking

  • Quick grievance redressal

  • Food ordering through e-catering

  • Porter and last-mile taxi bookings

With easy mPIN or biometric login and compatibility with existing RailConnect and UTS credentials, the new RailOne app replaces the need for multiple railway apps.

Movies and live shows during train ride

The app integrates the WAVES OTT platform, launched by Prasar Bharati in November 2024, offering:

  • Live TV channels

  • On-demand movies, web shows, and documentaries

  • Regional audio content

  • Interactive games and even e-commerce options

WAVES has content in over 10 Indian languages.

How to watch content on RailOne app?

To stream your favourite content:

  • Log in to RailOne using mPIN or biometrics.

  • Head to the ‘More Offerings’ section.

  • Tap ‘Go To Waves’ and start streaming free movies, shows, and more.

Authorised by IRCTC, RailOne aims to transform train travel in India by combining essential services and entertainment in a single app.
