Bhavish Aggarwal’s Ola Electric launched its new range of Gen 3 Scooters on January 31. The electric two-wheeler startup has introduced its new S1 Gen 3 portfolio on its homegrown Gen 3 platform. Ola Electric’s latest range starts at an introductory price of Rs 79,999 for the S1 X (2kWh) and goes up to Rs 1,69,999 for the flagship S1 Pro+ 5.3kWh model.

The S1 Pro+ 5.3kWh features Ola’s indigenous 4680 Bharat Cell, priced at Rs 1,69,999. The S1 Pro 4kWh variant is offered at Rs 1,54,999, while the standard S1 Pro in 4kWh and 3kWh battery options are available at Rs 1,34,999 and Rs 1,14,999, respectively.

Ola Electric’s S1 X range starts at Rs 79,999 for the 2kWh variant. The 3kWh is priced at Rs 89,999 and the 4kWh at Rs 99,999. The S1 X+ variant with a 4kWh battery is at an offer price of Rs 1,07,999.

The company shared that it will continue to retail its Gen 2 scooters with discounts of up to ₹35,000.

Features of Ola Electric’s Gen 3 

The Gen 3 scooters include a standard 3-year/40,000 km warranty for both the scooter and battery. Customers can opt to extend their battery warranty to 8 years or 1,25,000 km for Rs 14,999. The Gen 3 scooters bring considerable improvements over its predecessor, offering a 20% increase in peak power, an 11% reduction in costs, and a 20% boost in range. The new version incorporates a mid-drive motor and chain drive for optimised performance and reliability along with an integrated Motor Control Unit (MCU) to enhance efficiency.

The S1 Pro+ (5.3kWh and 4kWh) variants have a 13kW motor, attaining top speeds of 141 km/h and 128 km/h, respectively.

0-40 km/h acceleration is achieved in 2.1 and 2.3 seconds, with a range of 320 km (IDC) for the 5.3kWh version and 242 km (IDC) for the 4kWh model.

Both variants of Gen 3 feature four riding modes—Hyper, Sports, Normal, and Eco—alongside dual ABS, disc brakes, and improved ergonomics.

The S1 Pro (4kWh and 3kWh), powered by an 11kW motor can attain speeds of 125 km/h and 117 km/h, with ranges of 242 km and 176 km (IDC), respectively. These variants pick up speed from 0-40 km/h in 2.7 seconds and are available in five colours.

The S1 X+ (4kWh), priced at Rs 1,07,999, is targetted at budget-conscious consumers, featuring an 11kW mid-drive motor, 125 km/h top speed, and 242 km range. The scooter flaunts a 4.3-inch colour display, single ABS, and sporty body decals.

The standard S1 X is on sale with 4kWh, 3kWh, and 2kWh configurations, the 7kW motors achieving top speeds of 123 km/h, 115 km/h, and 101 km/h, respectively. The respective scooters stand at 242 km, 176 km, and 108 km (IDC). 

The reservations for Gen 3 scooters have begun at Rs 499, with deliveries scheduled for April and May 2025.
