Incidentally, the Tokyo-based multinational investment holding company, SoftBank has been a long-time backer of Ola, supporting its ride-hailing business and electric mobility initiatives. While specific details of the meeting remain private, the two founders likely explored AI applications and scaling renewable energy solutions in India’s growing startup ecosystem.
Besides meeting the Ola founder, Son’s itinerary included discussions with Mukesh Ambani and Naveen Tewari and a scheduled meeting with PM Modi to discuss SoftBank’s future investments in India.
