About milk brand Nandini's record sales

Nandini sold 1,100 metric tonnes of sweets this year, up from 715 metric tonnes last year, indicating major growth in festive season sales.

In 2024, 725 MT were sold for Rs 33.48 crore,” Karnataka Minister for Animal Husbandry and Sericulture K Venkatesh told reporters on October 21.

“During festive seasons like Dussehra and Diwali, demand for sweets rises significantly. For the 2024 festival season, KMF prepared in advance to offer over 40 varieties of sweets under the Nandini brand, selling a total of 725 metric tons and achieving a turnover of Rs 33.48 crore,” he said.

“For the 2025 festival season, KMF and its member milk unions planned meticulously about two months in advance, setting a sales target of 1,000 metric tons. Surpassing expectations, they sold 1,100 metric tons of sweet products, achieving a record turnover of Rs 46 crore- marking a 38 per cent growth over the previous year and an all-time high in KMF’s history,” the Minister added.

KMF has recently introduced a no-added-sugar sweet range on Diwali for health-conscious consumers.

Prices of Nandini ghee, butter, paneer, and select products also dropped from September 22 after the GST cut by the central government.

Under the Nandini brand, KMF’s product portfolio includes over 175 milk and milk-based products, including ghee, butter, paneer, sweets, milk powder, beverages, etc.

Along with Karnataka, Nandini’s products are also available in neighbouring states such as Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu, Maharashtra, Goa, Kerala, and Delhi, as well as in Assam and select international markets.

The brand entered the Delhi-NCR market in November last year, selling 1 lakh litres per day in the city.

“The purity, quality, and affordable pricing of its products have made Nandini a trusted brand among consumers,” Venkatesh said.

On average, 1 crore litres of milk are collected daily from dairy farmers across the state, of which about 65 lakh litres of milk, curd, and UHT milk products are distributed to consumers both within India and abroad.
