Recently, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella appeared on a podcast by an Indian-origin YouTuber. All of this happened just because of a simple cold email!

Popular podcaster Dwarkesh Patel emailed the tech boss with a humble request: "Would you be interested in coming to my podcast?”

To make his request more effective, he shared, “Previous guests include Mark Zuckerberg, Tony Blair and Ilya Sutskever.”

Surprisingly, Nadella himself responded to the email and expressed his interest to feature on the podcast. "Hi, Dwarkesh. Your pod is super! I would love to," the Microsoft boss wrote back.

With this success, Dwarkesh Patel reached out on platform X and wrote, "Kids, don't underestimate the power of a cold email," sharing glimpses from the podcast with Satya Nadella.

During the podcast, Dwarkesh Patel asked the Microsoft CEO about his time at Microsoft, calling him a “company man" as he has been at Microsoft for 34 years.

Satya Nadella has been the chairman and CEO of the tech company since 2014.

Nadella disclosed he feels “more excited” every year at Microsoft.

“For anybody joining Microsoft... as long as they feel that they can use this as a platform for both their economic return but also a sense of purpose, a sense of mission that they can accomplish by using us as a platform. Right, so therefore that’s the contract,” he said.

Innovative topics such as AGI, gaming and quantum breakthroughs were discussed at great length in this podcast.

Later Dwarkesh Patel uploaded the link to watch the full interview on X including timestamps for Satya Nadella speaking on relevant topics.
