Goyal shared on X: “Book on Zomato coming soon. @MeghaVishwanath has comprehensively chronicled our journey over the past 15 years through 300+ interviews, and countless hours of shadowing me.”

‘Unseen’ traces how Zomato grew from a bunch of takeout menus in an office cafeteria to the first Indian tech unicorn to go public with its 2021 IPO.

The author spent three years shadowing founder Deepinder Goyal and talking to hundreds of stakeholders who shaped the startup's journey.

“Just received my copy too,” Deepinder Goyal said. “Butterflies in the tummy on how this will read.”

While concluding the post, he shared the link to pre-order the book online.

Sanjeev Bikhchandani, founder of venture capital firm Info Edge Ventures, and a key stakeholder in Zomato-parent Eternal, also shared a post after receiving a copy of ‘Unseen’.

About 'Unseen'

Published by Penguin Random House India, the book is about Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal’s journey. The book describes him as “a man who built, broke, and rebuilt his company and himself, in public view, yet remained curiously private in spirit,” as reported by PTI.

The 312-page book on Zomato is priced at Rs 799 and is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

It is not a traditional biography and does not follow a chronological account of founder Goyal’s life.
