To utilise the crowd gathering at the Maha Kumbh Mela, the world’s largest religious gathering in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, Blinkit CEO, Albinder Dhindsa, announced a temporary Blinkit store as a new business plan.

He wrote on social media platform X, “Today we've opened a temporary Blinkit store in Maha Kumbh Mela, Prayagraj to serve pilgrims and tourists” sharing a picture of the store with the staff.

Blinkit’s 100-square-foot store will be a convenient hub for essentials, delivering to key areas of Prayagraj’s Mela such as Dome City, Arail Tent City, and ITDC Luxury Camp. The essentials would be delivered at the Maha Kumbh Mela in 10 minutes.

Notably, the Blinkit store has stocked up on Triveni Sangam Jal bottles following the significance of the Triveni Sangam, the confluence of the Ganges, Yamuna and Saraswati rivers.

The quick-commerce store will deliver a specially curated assortment of products to meet the diverse needs of attendees.

“Our teams are ready to deliver specially curated assortment like pooja needs, milk, curd, fruits & vegetables (for self-consumption as well as for daan), chargers, power banks, towels, blankets, bedsheets and more,” Dhindsa wrote on X.

Netizens lauded Blinkit for this initiative.
