Actor Swastika Mukherjee on Wednesday took to social media and shared about an unexpected incident of a Swiggy Genie delivery partner who had vanished with two of her manager's tickets to India vs England's first T201 match in Kolkata's Eden Gardens stadium.

This occurred a day before the match, on Tuesday.

“THIS HAS HAPPENED TO US TODAY, IT CAN HAPPEN TO YOU TOMORROW. BEWARE AND SHARE THIS FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY!” the actor wrote on the X platform sharing her talent manager Shristi Jain's post.

Swastika's talent manager slams Swiggy

"Two tickets for today’s India vs England match at Eden Gardens were stolen by a @swiggyindia genie executive yesterday. It was to be delivered from New Town action area 2 to New Town action area 1. It’s been 13 hours and the thief has not been caught despite the company having his details," Jain wrote.

"The order for the ticket delivery was placed at 6.30 pm. And it showed that the delivery partner was en route all along. After an hour, the delivery partner blocked me and my partner’s number and stopped taking calls from any numbers. The delivery partner marked the order delivered at 5.37 am."

Jain added that even 13 hours after the incident, Swiggy had not responded. The tickets were for her partner's father who was a huge cricket fan but had never seen a live match.

"He has traveled all the way from Kanpur to witness a match at Eden Gardens. The tickets are gone and I’ve lost all hopes to get them back. Because the police couldn’t help in this case either. But what I’m irritated with is how is Swiggy sitting with tight lips when they have all the details of the thief. Isn’t this a service to get things delivered? How can one trust the brand if they’re to work and promote thieves," Jain shared.
