An Indian techie based in London who now works with Meta, posted a video from inside Google’s London office that is doing its rounds on social media. The techie, Amit Dutta, shared that he did not go there for a meeting but for lunch.

In the clip shared on Instagram, Amit lightheartedly comments that calling this place an “office” seems “illegal”.

“The building itself looks more like a tech museum,” he remarked.

Moving around, the Indian techie points out tiny things that caught his eye, such as glass doors with cartoon characters on them. Google London’s bright, playful office space does not give out a corporate vibe at all.

Interestingly, the moment the techie hits the cafeteria, all self-control goes out the window. Amit is seen loading up on mac and cheese, trying out soya beans in a red wine sauce, and keeps finding new things to be excited about.

Google cafe’s “simplicity meatballs” are a soya-based dish, which makes the Meta employee laugh out loud because of its name.

He then displays the endless salad spread and a wild berry iced tea that clearly impressed him.

The techie then shows an orange poppy-seed cake dessert that he openly admits to having zero intention of resisting.

According to Amit, Google Cafe’s real flex is the coffee. He says that instead of the usual office machine, Google has an actual barista making proper mochas.

“Good coffee, made by someone who knows what they’re doing, inside an office. Wild,” the techie says.

“This isn’t just lunch, this is an employee retention strategy!” he said while signing off.
