AI Job Anxiety Grows as Career Questions Surge on Astrotalk

Astrotalk’s year-end data shows a 50 per cent rise in job-related questions compared to 2024. The most asked question on the platform this year was, “Is AI going to take my job?” This reflects growing concern about automation and how fast work roles are changing.

The astrology platform saw heavy use throughout the year. Astrotalk handled over 1.15 lakh one-on-one consultations every day, with users spending more than 14 lakh minutes daily on the app. Career and relationship questions together made up nearly 95 per cent of all queries, showing what matters most to users right now.

Even as job worries increased, marriage and relationship questions continued to lead overall volumes. Many users asked, “Will I marry my partner?” and “When will I get married?” This suggests that people are dealing with work stress while also thinking about long-term personal decisions.

Age-based trends add more context. Users between 18 and 24 mainly asked about jobs, early career choices, and job safety. Activity was highest among users aged 25 to 34, driven largely by marriage and relationship questions. Users aged 35 to 45 focused more on stable marriages and steady careers, showing how priorities change over time.

Commenting on the trend in a tweet, Astrotalk Founder and CEO Puneet Gupta said, “The questions people ask reflect the realities they are living through. With rapid changes in work and technology, people want reassurance before making important choices.”

Astrotalk also noted that similar job-related stress was seen during the COVID-19 period in 2020. However, in 2025, concerns have moved beyond job loss to include AI-related change and long-term career security.
