Startup Founder automates Swiggy orders using AI assistant

Neil Agarwal, co-founder of Refix Analytics, recently shared how he connected Swiggy to an AI assistant to fully automate his regular food and grocery orders, turning a daily chore into a hands-free experience.

In a post on X, Agarwal revealed that he integrated the food delivery platform with an AI assistant called Clawdbot.

The result is a system that understands his routine, preferences, and cravings, and places orders without manual intervention.

“Connected Swiggy to Clawdbot and automated my biggest headache!” he wrote, explaining that chai now arrives at his doorstep every day at 5 PM, groceries are auto-ordered for meals he plans to cook, and dinner recommendations are generated based on his mood.

According to Agarwal, the entire setup takes about a minute, after which the system runs on autopilot.

To illustrate the process, he shared screenshots showing the AI assistant generating a detailed order summary before checkout. The preview included item-wise pricing, delivery charges, taxes, and the final payable amount.

In one example, the total came to ₹160, with cash on delivery selected.

The assistant also prompted a clear warning that the order could not be cancelled after placement and asked for explicit confirmation before proceeding, after which the order was successfully placed and confirmed.

Netizens respond

The post quickly caught the attention of tech enthusiasts and builders, many of whom praised the use of AI to eliminate repetitive, time-consuming tasks.

“This is what I want AI to do—solve my real day-to-day problems,” one user commented.

“Hungry builders build food ordering bots,” another wrote.

“This is exactly how you lose track of how much you are spending,” one comment cautioned, arguing that certain choices are better made manually.

Others shared mixed experiences setting up similar tools, pointing out that automation still has a learning curve.

What is Clawdbot?

Clawdbot, created by PSPDFKit founder Peter Steinberger, stands apart from typical chatbots. Designed to remember past interactions and understand routines, it can proactively send reminders, updates, and alerts. Accessible through familiar messaging platforms like WhatsApp, Telegram, iMessage, and Discord, it feels less like an app and more like chatting with a personal assistant.
