Senthil Raja and Kumaresh S - Co-founders Of Namma Office
In 2023, Senthil Raja and Kumaresh S., two seasoned professionals with global corporate experience, decided to challenge a deeply ingrained notion in Indian society: the belief that professional success demands relocating to metro cities.
Hailing from Salem, Tamil Nadu, both founders shared a vision of bringing metro-class office spaces to their beloved hometown.
Senthil, an entrepreneur with a background in software and multiple ventures under his Thulir Group, teamed up with Kumaresh, whose 20+ years in finance and healthcare equipped him with a strong understanding of scalability and operational excellence.
Together, they founded Namma Office, a co-working startup designed to empower businesses and professionals in tier-2 and tier-3 cities in India.
Their goal was simple yet bold: to make world-class workspaces accessible in small towns, reducing the need for relocation to metro hubs like Bangalore and Chennai.
“Namma Office isn’t just about creating physical spaces; it is about creating global opportunities in small-town India,” says Senthil Raja, the co-founder & CEO of Namma Office, during an exclusive interview with Startup Pedia.

Breaking New Ground:
Namma Office started modestly in January 2024 with an 850 sq. ft. space in Salem, offering just 35 seats.
Educating the market was one of the biggest challenges for Namma Office. Many businesses were hesitant to embrace co-working, viewing it as a metro-centric trend.
To counter this, the founders conducted workshops and one-on-one consultations to highlight the superior amenities, cost savings, and productivity benefits.
Another hurdle was building world-class infrastructure in tier-3 cities, where skilled labour and materials were scarce. Namma Office addressed this by training local talent and sourcing quality materials from nearby metros.
Despite initial scepticism from potential customers unfamiliar with the co-working concept, the founders persevered.
The result? Within weeks, the space was fully booked.
“The early success gave us the confidence to expand quickly,” shares Kumaresh S, the co-founder & COO of Namma Office, with Startup Pedia.

Fast forward to 2025, and Namma Office now operates five properties in Salem and Hosur, with 90% occupancy rates across a total capacity of 1,000 seats.
Namma Office In Detail:
Driven by the post-pandemic shifts in work culture, the Indian co-working industry is booming.
With businesses adopting hybrid models and a growing preference for flexible workspaces, the co-working office market in India is projected to reach $2.91 billion by 2030, growing at a CAGR of 7% during the 2025-2030 period.
While metro cities dominate the market, tier-2 and tier-3 cities are emerging as the next frontier.
Smaller towns are home to a burgeoning population of startups, freelancers, and remote workers, creating demand for high-quality office spaces.
“Tier-2 and tier-3 cities are still largely untapped markets. They’re the future of commerce, employment, and thus, co-working in India,” Kumaresh explains to Startup Pedia.
Namma Office has redefined co-working in smaller cities by focusing on three core principles: quality, affordability, and community.
Key features of Namma Office co-working spaces include:-
-
Premium infrastructure: Air-conditioned working areas equipped with all modern amenities like high-speed internet, 24X7 power supply, etc.
-
Affordable pricing models: The value-for-money price range starts from ₹3,500 per month for hot desks and goes up to ₹11,000 per month for luxury suites.
-
Collaborative atmosphere: Opportunities to network and work with fellow business owners, professionals, or startup founders as a part of the vibrant professional community.
“Our spaces offer everything a metro city-based coworking hub does, but at a fraction of the cost. That’s how we have been able to serve over 35 clients in our brief yet very successful journey,” Senthil proudly shares.
Namma Office operates on a dual model:-
-
COCO (Company Owned, Company Operated): Directly managed properties to ensure consistent quality.
-
FOFO (Franchise Owned, Franchise Operated): A scalable approach allowing rapid expansion with the support of local entrepreneurs.\
The startup’s monthly revenue has soared to ₹45 lakhs, with a total revenue of around ₹1 crore in 2024. With 25 FOFO properties planned for 2025, the founders aim to hit ₹10 crore in annual revenue this year and ₹100 crore within five years.
The Support Of The Tamil Nadu Government:
Over the years, the Tamil Nadu government has played a pivotal role in supporting startups like Namma Office.
Through initiatives such as the Tamil Nadu Startup and Innovation Policy 2023, the state has created an ecosystem conducive to entrepreneurship, startups, and business growth.
Namma Office’s partnership with TIDEL, the business development parks backed by the Tamil Nadu government, is a shining example.
Expanding its footprint in the region, the co-working startup has secured 32,000 sq. ft. of space in TIDEL-Salem and is poised to launch a 14,000 sq. ft. facility in TIDEL-Tiruppur.
This strategic expansion solidifies the company's position as a key driver of innovation within the region.
"Our collaboration with TIDEL reflects our shared commitment to positioning Tamil Nadu as a premier hub for business and innovation. Together, we strive to make the state the go-to destination for entrepreneurs of all sizes, from new-gen startups to established enterprises, to explore, experiment, and thrive in their entrepreneurial journeys," Senthil shares.
Namma Office’s Journey In A Nutshell:
Namma Office is more than just a co-working startup—it’s a catalyst for transformation in India’s tier 2 & 3 cities.
By fusing world-class infrastructure with local sensibilities, Senthil and Kumaresh have demonstrated that cutting-edge workplaces are not exclusive to metro cities.
“Our long-term goal is to be synonymous with co-working in non-metro India. We have created a sustainable and inclusive business model that empowers established corporates, startups, local communities, and individuals alike,” Kumaresh underscores Namma Office’s vision of becoming a household name for office solutions in smaller cities.
With growth plans to cities like Tiruppur, Karur, Erode, Madurai, and other parts of Tamil Nadu, Namma Office is set to deepen its footprint while staying true to its roots. A pan-India expansion is also on the cards.
Namma Office exemplifies how startups in small towns can compete with and even surpass their metro counterparts by focusing on untapped potential and community-centric growth.
Its success is a testament to the opportunities in the hinterland, where the next wave of innovation is taking shape in the Indian startup ecosystem.
With Namma Office leading the charge, the future of workspaces—and the communities they serve—is being redefined one city at a time.
As tier-3 cities rise on India’s economic map, the lesson is clear: big dreams no longer need big cities. They require vision, execution, and, most importantly, belief in the potential of small-town India.
