VELOXHIRE.AI Team
Ask any startup or business owner, and they'll tell you that hiring is one of their primary woes.
The process of posting a job on platforms like LinkedIn and Indeed, receiving thousands of applications, putting the best resources to screen them, spending time designing take-home assignments, analyzing the tests, picking out a few candidates for interviews, scheduling them, and finally conducting the interviews is time-consuming and tedious.
Enter ChatGPT. And the process became a little more difficult for hiring managers.
Vinit Yadav, in an exclusive interview with Startup Pedia, “When we were sending take-home assignments to candidates, many of them were using chatbots like ChatGPT to solve the test. But there was no way to recognize that. Instead, we were setting up interviews with these people and realizing they didn't live up to the expectations their test result had set.”
To solve these gaps in the hiring market, Vinit Yadav founded Veloxhire.AI in June 2023. It is an AI-based pioneering conversational video interviewing platform that conducts human-like interviews, tests a candidate’s in-depth knowledge, and generates an extensive scorecard.

THE BEGINNING
Vinit Yadav completed his engineering degree in Information Technology in 2008. He spent the first seven years of his career working in different IT companies and even went overseas to handle projects.
In 2014, he founded Veloxcore, a software engineering and consulting firm that helps businesses and organizations gain a competitive edge through world-class software solutions.
The company is now officially a decade old in the market and has worked with a wide clientele including the United Nations, PMI by D2O, and well-known names in the hospitality industry.
It recently hit the USD 1 million mark in terms of revenue.
So how did Veloxhire.AI come into being?
Vinit explains, “At Veloxcore, we work with niche customers and companies. The requirements are very, very specific. We usually have to interview 80-90 people for a role. And these interviews get conducted by highly-paid resources.”
He added by saying that before ChatGPT came into the picture, take-home assignments had some merit in them. However, the company soon realized that candidates would get ChatGPT to do their assignments, pass the preliminary rounds, and end up not doing well in the real-time interviews.
“This was a colossal waste of time and resources. We knew we had to find a solution,” he says.
While there were AI-based interview platforms available in the market, the gap was that they weren’t human-like. Candidates could skip a question and move on to the next one easily. There was no human touch to it.
That’s when Vinit Yadav and his team at Veloxcore decided to innovate an AI-based interviewing platform that held interviews in a conversational format instead of a monotonous question-answer one.
That is how Veloxhire.AI was born.
Research, development, and study began in June 2023, and by January 2024, an MVP (Minimal Viable Product) was launched in the market.
While Veloxhire.AI is still in its early stage, it is already helping 10+ enterprises add speed and efficiency to their hiring process.
VELOXHIRE.AI: HOW IT WORKS
To understand how Veloxhire.AI really works, we will first have to look at how human interviews are conducted.
A hiring manager or interviewer gets on a call with a candidate, asks them questions, maintains a conversation, asks further follow-up questions related to the candidate’s answers, judges their knowledge, communication, and attitude, and then makes the final decision on whether to move them forward or not.
Veloxhire.AI does the exact same thing.
Vinit puts it across beautifully, “It basically lets you conduct human-like interviews while you’re sleeping.”
The user journey for a B2B customer at Veloxhire.AI is fairly simple:
-
A hiring manager/human resource executive heads to the Employer Portal and creates a job assessment.
-
They list out the skills they’re looking for in the perfect candidate.
-
Now they add the email address and phone number of the candidate.
-
The candidate gets an invite link that they can press on and attend the interview anytime. Absolutely no human intervention is needed.
-
Once the interview is conducted, the scores are sent to the employer who can then make an informed decision.
The interview, as you can see in the demo video above, is conducted in a purely conversational style by Jenny (the AI interviewer) with follow-up questions based on the respondent’s answers.
There are no surface-level pre-defined questions. The AI is powered with the capability of conducting end-to-end interviews with a duration of 45 to 60 minutes and then giving in-depth evaluations for both—technical skills as well as soft skills.
The platform’s primary use case is to filter out candidates and receive a curated list of the top ones. This way, companies and organizations no longer have to spend hours on screening, interviewing, and evaluating contenders.
This is the futuristic tech that Vinit and his team are building on.
Currently, the only limitation is that Veloxhire.AI wouldn’t function perfectly in a chaotic, noisy environment. Vinit says, “While we are working on it, I don’t necessarily see it as a huge issue because interviews are conventionally held in quiet spaces.”
LOOKING AHEAD
Veloxhire.AI has a team of 8-10 people who are constantly working on upgrading the tech and including more functionalities.
Vinit’s ultimate vision with Veloxhire.AI is to disrupt the interview-as-a-service industry and bring in futuristic technology at pricing plans that are more accessible to a larger group of customers.
As a company, Veloxhire.AI is more reliant and cost-effective than others in the market. Its human-like interviews surpass the surface-level question-answer format that other AI players in the market are offering.
Vinit Yadav signs off by saying, “There are a bunch of enterprises that outsource the hiring process to freelancers who charge Rs 300 per hour to take an interview. My question is, why would you put the future of your company, in the hands of someone who is charging Rs 300 an hour and is probably just looking to get the gig over with? Veloxhire.AI is here to change all of that and offer human-like interviews that will save you time, money, and resources. Your next vacancy can be filled at least 5x faster.”
