Every morning, millions of parents send their children off to school, trusting that the bus will pick them up on time, that the driver will be responsible, and that their child will arrive safely. But trust isn’t a system. Trust isn’t data. And trust, sometimes, fails.

Three college friends based in Dwarka, New Delhi - Rahul Verma (20), Harsh Singh (20), and Prem Kumar Verma (21)—knew this all too well. They weren’t transportation experts. They weren’t seasoned entrepreneurs. They were just three college students who saw a glaring problem and decided to fix it.

A Startup Born Out of a Simple Question: "Why Can’t This Be Better?"

"One of my cousin’s kids used to take an e-rickshaw to school. It was overloaded, there was no way to track it, and sometimes, the driver changed without notice. It wasn’t just unsafe—it was a disaster waiting to happen," Prem Kumar Verma said in an exclusive interview with Startup Pedia.

"We saw mothers standing at the bus stop 20 minutes early, sometimes in scorching heat, sometimes in heavy rain—just to make sure their child didn’t miss the bus. We saw the worry in their eyes every time the bus was late. We knew something had to change," Harsh, his co-founder nods.

That’s how LittleMove was born—not just as a business but as a promise to parents for utmost safety and reliability.

It is a software solution designed to make school transport safer, more efficient, and accountable.

How LittleMove Is Transforming School Transport:

Most parents don’t realise how outdated school transportation is until they face an issue—a missed bus, a delayed pickup, or an unfamiliar driver—moments that cause panic but could easily be prevented.

The school transport management software isn’t just a tracking app. It’s a full-scale transport management system that connects parents, schools, and drivers in real time.

Harsh, COO of LittleMove, explained during the Startup Pedia conversation, "We built three interconnected apps—one for schools, one for parents, and one for drivers. Every action, from a child boarding the bus to reaching school, is updated instantly."

Drivers log attendance with a single tap, parents receive live notifications, and schools have complete oversight of routes, delays, and safety checks.

"What happens when a bus is stuck in traffic? What happens if a child is absent but the driver isn’t informed? These small inefficiencies create massive problems," Co-founder Rahul Verma, points out a crucial detail.

Most school buses wait for absent students because there’s no real-time communication. The driver doesn’t know if a child is sick or simply running late. With LittleMove, parents can mark their child absent with a single tap, saving time, fuel, and confusion.

But what about drivers who aren't tech-savvy? That concern was addressed early on. The LittleMove driver app is designed with a simple three-button interface - orange for onboard, grey for deboard, and red for absent.

"If a driver can answer a call, he can use our app," Rahul Verma, the founder, said with a smile.

The Shift from B2C to B2B for LittleMove:

LittleMove started as a B2C model, with the trio of young entrepreneurs running their own fleet of e-rickshaws for school transport. But despite the effort, parents hesitated to trust an unknown service. That’s when they pivoted to B2B, working directly with schools instead of parents.

"Instead of convincing thousands of parents, we realised it was better to onboard schools. Parents already trust their school’s transport, so why not improve it instead of competing with it?" said the COO of LittleMove during the Startup Pedia conversation.

This shift changed everything.

Growth of LittleMove:

Currently, the Delhi-based startup has one school on board as the school transport management software just launched in late January. It has been in talks with multiple schools across Noida and Delhi.

"We will move to different cities once we establish ourselves in and around Delhi," said Harsh during the Startup Pedia conversation.

Schools are taking notice. LittleMove offers what no other service does. The school transport management software is an AI-driven transport system available for just ₹40-50 per student per month.

"Most tracking solutions are built for elite private schools. We designed LittleMove for Tier 2 and Tier 3 schools, where safety and efficiency are needed the most," said the founder.

Revenue projections are promising for LittleMove. With a target of ₹15-20 lakh in the first year and plans to scale to ₹70-80 lakh next year, the young entrepreneurs are looking at exponential growth.

The co-founders of LittleMove are not full-fledged entrepreneurs but college students who came together, pooled their skills, and built the software without spending a single penny.

"If we had outsourced the software development, it would have cost at least ₹2 lakh. Instead, we built everything ourselves," said Rahul while speaking to Startup Pedia.

All three young entrepreneurs and co-founders of LittleMove come from humble families. While Prem and Rahul Verma’s fathers are taxi drivers, Harsh Singh’s father is working with a BPO.

Speaking with Startup Pedia, Rahul said,

“None of us come from business families. We weren’t raised with the mindset of ‘build a startup.’ We were raised with the mindset of ‘get a stable job."

When parents of the co-founders of LittleMove got to know about what they were up to, they were not happy. However, when the young entrepreneurs got their pilot project running, things changed significantly.

"That was the moment they realised we weren’t just experimenting. We were actually building something real," Harsh reflected. "They still worry, of course. But now, they see the potential."

The trio of young entrepreneurs concluded the Startup Pedia interview with this powerful statement. "We started LittleMove because we saw a problem. We’re scaling it because we refuse to ignore it."
