She was at the hotel for a Diwali dinner with her sister and explained the incident in detail, raising questions about comfort, treatment, and expectations in fine-dining restaurants.

What happened at Taj Hotel

In the video, Sharma said that the manager asked her to change her sitting posture because another guest had complained.

“A common man who works hard, earns his own money, and comes to the hotel with his dignity intact, he still faces humiliation and insult in this country,” she said.

She added, “And what is my fault? Just that I sat down in a regular Padmasana style?”

Sharma was wearing a simple salwar-kurta and Kolhapuri slippers, which she bought herself.

“I understand this is a fine-dining place, and yes, rich people come here. They expect you to sit in a certain way and wear closed shoes. But I don’t even understand what that means!” she said.

Social Media Response and Reactions

Shradha’s video got a lot of attention online.

Many people supported her, saying, “It’s her choice how to sit comfortably and eat. What is the problem in that?”

Others said fine-dining places do have etiquette rules, showing a difference between traditional luxury expectations and normal comfort.

Shradha also said, “If someone has a problem with how I sit, that shows we are still thinking too much about money, culture, and class. I work hard, I’m paying for this meal myself — so what’s the issue?”

She finished by saying she felt disappointed because she has respect for Taj Hotel and knows that Ratan Tata had invested in her company.
