However, netizens have had mixed reactions. While some appreciated the seller's confidence, some remarked that coconuts are also expensive in roadside stalls.
One X user commented, “Even 50 is expensive for coconut. We should stop exporting coconut to other countries so that prices in India will come down”.
Another individual wrote, “Yes, in Delhi, roadside ones are quoting ₹80 and Blinkit less than that.”
A third user said, “It was ₹40-₹45 at the local shop. Quick commerce has driven up prices. That's not cool.”
Someone else remarked, “Big basket daily subscription of tender coconut is 58-60/- Delivers at door step. No delivery charge. So no hassle of driving/walking through dusty roads, save on petrol. All in all 5/- extra is absolutely worth it imo.”
While an individual from Gujarat wrote, “Hehehe - here in my place in Gujarat, we get it in 30 Rs. and sometime if, lucky we can get small one, in 20 Rs. too.”
