Quick fashion delivery startup Blip shuts down
Ultra-fast fashion delivery startup Blip, which promised 30-minute deliveries, has shut down its operations within a year of its launch, co-founder Ansh Agarwal announced in a LinkedIn post.

“After building for over a year, we have finally called it a day,” Agarwal wrote. “While we continue to believe in this space, bootstrapping the business with limited capital made it extremely difficult for us to participate in the market,” he elaborated.
Blip was one of the first Indian startups to venture into the quick commerce space for fashion. Focusing on deep tech integrations and micro-warehousing, the business promised to deliver products within 30 minutes in select areas of Bengaluru.
Its business model differed from Myntra, Slikk and NewMe.
Co-founder Agarwal claimed the startup’s differentiated approach became the reason for its downfall.
“We did a lot of first-in-market implementations that took a fair bit of time to convince stakeholders,” he said, adding that this slowed down their go-to-market strategies and compounded the challenges of operating with limited working capital. “In the end, it didn’t make sense for us to continue.”
Incidentally, quick commerce models such as fashion, home services, and baby products are on the rise.
According to a Moneycontrol report, quick fashion startups like Slikk, NEWME, Blip, and Knot, along with larger platforms like Myntra and Ajio, have been tapping into this growing demand by promising trend-forward outfits in under 90 minutes.
“Think of us as the Zomato for clothes,” Agarwal had told Moneycontrol at the time. “We don’t hold inventory — retail stores already have that. Our job is to surface the right selection and deliver it quickly.” At the time, Blip was live in Bengaluru with plans to expand to Delhi.
“I continue to believe in this space and understand the need for verticalisation of quick commerce in general,” the co-founder shared on LinkedIn. “Sadly, it won’t be us. But I’m extremely proud of what we did at Blip.”
He concluded the post saying, “anyways, i had a lot of fun building this. we made a ton of mistakes, learned a lot about the market, changed the mindsets, and more. but now we continue to march ahead. onto the next big thing.”
