Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal went to London to discuss India's potential as an investment destination with Navroz D. Udwadia, Co-founder and Partner of the investment company, Alpha Wave Global.
In a post on the social media platform X, the Minister shared, "Met Navroz D. Udwadia, Co-founder and Partner of Alpha Wave Global in London. Highlighted how India's rapidly expanding middle class, manufacturing capability and rise of digital economy offer a unique opportunity for investment and growth".
According to Goyal, India's fast-growing middle class, strong manufacturing base, and rapidly expanding digital economy are strong factors that make India a unique and promising place for global investors.

The Minister earlier also held a joint meeting with Belgium's Minister of Defence and Foreign Trade, Theo Francken, and the Minister-President of Flanders, Matthias Diependaele, to discuss ways to strengthen the India-Belgium partnership, especially in the areas of trade and investment.
Alpha Wave Global is a leading global investment company with a variety of partnerships that cover a number of asset classes, themes, and geographies, ranging from venture/growth to public markets to credit.
The meeting between Minister Goyal and the co-founder indicates India's economic growth and policy reforms for creating new opportunities for international businesses and investors.
During the meeting, the Indian Minister stressed the importance of giving equal attention to non-tariff barriers (NTBs) alongside tariff negotiations to ensure meaningful progress.
The Union Minister and Maros Sefcovic, the European Commissioner for Trade and Economic Security, met in Brussels and discussed the progress of discussions to solve global trade challenges.
Piyush Goyal is currently on a three-nation tour of Europe, covering key trade partners. In the UK and Norway, the Minister had already discussed with his counterparts on trade and investment.
