In an exclusive interview with ET NOW, the Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Piyush Goyal said the world is now looking up to India which would bring prosperity to the country.
The three-day 8th annual Future Investment Initiative (FII) began on October 29 at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center in Riyadh, where Piyush Goyal and other global leaders, visionary innovators, and influential investors have assembled to explore the theme “Infinite Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow.”
Minister Goyal positive about India's future
At the FII Conclave on India’s Rise and Future, the Minister remarked, “It was a bit of challenge but the commitment that India has to working closely with Saudi Arabia and middle eastern countries has only grown from strength to strength and its a message that India would like to deliver that we stand with our friendly partners, our strategic partners like Saudi Arabia…”.
Wishing “prosperity for India” on the occasion of Diwali, Goyal mentioned that “the trajectory on which India is moving, and recognition across the world of the great India story, and Prime Minister Modi… the world today look up to India and that is going to transcribe into prosperity for India.”

The Minister said the Saudis were looking to create a “mart in Saudi Arabia in terms of their investments across the world whether it’s in startups or technology, in data centre or AI”, and therefore, there are ample opportunities in Saudi Arabia for Indian investors and young startup founders.
As for India’s growth is concerned, Goyal commented the country is “the world’s fastest-growing large economy, soon to be world’s third largest economy aspiring to be a 30-35 trillion economy by 2047.”
