In the latest showdown with Ola Electric founder Bhavish Aggarwal, standup comedian Kunal Kamra reached out to Union Minister Nitin Gadkari on X (Formerly Twitter) on October 28, 2024.

Sharing an “alert” post by a user named Prathamesh Daga with a video of an Ola service centre showing “all scooters in bad condition”, Kamra asked the Minister when the government would intervene in the matter.

Kamra starts a fresh row

He wrote, “Minister @nitin_gadkari please look at the plight of indian customers,

their voices aren’t heard.

They can’t get to work.

They are taking bad loans to solve an issue that is primarily Ola’s responsibility…

When will government agencies intervene?”

Also, humorously announcing that he has "accepted" an unofficial offer to work with the company, Kamra remarked on X that he feels like an "Ola employee" as these days he is being tagged in thousands of customer complaints. Outlining a series of demands he concluded that Ola must see to resolve the “service crisis.”

Kamra proposes action plans for Aggarwal

In his tweet, Kamra even elaborated some demands for Ola Electric to “seal this collaboration”:

1. 7-Day Repair Commitment: The comedian urged Aggarwal's company to complete all scooter repairs within 7 business days after a customer requests service at any authorized centre.

2. Compensation for Delays: However, if the repairs take longer than the 7-day period, Kamra proposed that Ola should provide either a temporary replacement scooter or a daily conveyance reimbursement of Rs. 500 should be made until the repair is complete.

Further, he advocated an additional Rs. 500 compensation per day of delay, topping at Rs. 50,000.

Ola Electric has not yet responded to Kamra's claims.
