Infosys to build LIC of India’s NextGen Digital Platform

The Indian IT services company Infosys announced on Monday that Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) has appointed them to create a next-generation digital platform for the company. This platform would pivot omnichannel experiences and data-driven hyper-personalisation for customers, agents, and employees.

Infosys leading DIVE

Infosys will lead LIC’s digital transformation initiative called DIVE (Digital Innovation and Value Enhancement). The IT company will provide LIC with turnkey system integration services using AI capabilities from Infosys Topaz and DevSecOps services from Infosys Cobalt.

The IT firm will also build the necessary infrastructure for digital transformation and ascertain the ongoing monitoring and maintenance once the platform is operational.

The collaboration to set the NextGen Digital Platform 

This NextGen Digital Platform will allow LIC to realize the objectives of DIVE, and the platform will also act as an open platform, allowing swift integration with FinTech companies and Bancassurance partners, Infosys has mentioned in a press release.

CEO & MD of LIC, Siddhartha Mohanty has said, “Our collaboration with Infosys marks a significant milestone in our digital transformation journey.”

"It will not only enhance our operational capabilities but also enable us to cater to our vast customer, agent and employee base with newer, more personalised experiences. We are committed to leveraging the latest technologies that Infosys has to offer, including Cloud and Enterprise AI, to drive innovation and improve our offerings," Mohanty added.

Salil Parekh, the CEO & MD of Infosys has remarked, “By leveraging Infosys’ extensive experience in digital transformation initiatives and prowess in AI and Cloud, we aim to equip LIC with a robust digital infrastructure that will deliver superior customer engagement, enhance operational efficiency and enable rapid market responsiveness.”

Now that Infosys has been appointed by LIC for its digital transformation initiative, DIVE, the NextGen Digital Platform will boost customer interactions through data-driven personalization, with Infosys' AI and cloud services for enhanced efficiency and infrastructure.
