Dubai Princess Launches Perfume Line 'Divorce' After Divorcing Husband

Dubai’s Princess Shaikha Mahra stunned the world in July by instantly divorcing her husband on Instagram and now she is in the headlines again with the launch of her new perfume, Divorce. This perfume has been introduced recently from her brand Mahra M1. 

Ahead of the launch, the princess shared a teaser video of the perfume on Instagram, flaunting the sleek black Divorce bottle. The teaser showcased shattered glass, dark petals, and a black panther, adding a bold and symbolic touch to the fragrance.

Who is Shaikha Mahra?

The 30-year-old Shaikha Mahra Mohammed Rashed Al Maktoum is the daughter of Dubai’s ruler, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who is also the vice president, prime minister, and minister of defense of the UAE.

Shaikha Mahra is one of Mohammed bin Rashid’s 26 children. Her mother, Zoe Grigorakos, now divorced is originally from Greece. 

Shaikha Mahra has a degree in International Relations from a UK university, according to graduation photos on her Instagram page.

As apparent from her Instagram pictures, apart from royal duties and philanthropic works, the princess loves traveling and is an animal lover. She was featured on the January cover of Harper’s Bazaar Arabia. 

The Dubai princess made the headlines in July by announcing an "instant divorce" from her husband, Sheikh Mana bin Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mana Al Maktoum on Instagram. The two had tied the knot in May 2023 and welcomed a daughter the following year.

The triple divorce announcement on Instagram!

In the Instagram post that she divorced her husband, she wrote a clear message: “Dear Husband, As you are occupied with other companions, I hereby declare our divorce,” she wrote. Shaikha Mahra then invoked the Islamic practice of triple talaq to announce their separation: “I to divorce you. I divorce you, and I divorce you. Take care. Your ex-wife,” she had written.
