Ultraviolette Automotive, a pioneer in India's electric vehicle industry, has recently introduced the F99 Factory Racing Platform, the country’s first superbike claimed to set the record for the highest top speed by an Indian motorcycle over the next 90 days.

Designed, and engineered entirely at their Bengaluru R&D headquarters, this Indian electric superbike is a first of its kind powered by a 90kW liquid-cooled motor that helps it to run 0-100kmph in three seconds. The claimed top speed sits at 265kmph and the F99 tips the scale at 178kg.

The F99 looks sharp with its design inspired by supersonic jets. The winglets, air ducts, and aggressive riding position of F99 fit in with expectations. Although the company has not yet disclosed the price of the F99 series, the estimated price is around INR 8 lakhs. [Source: BikeDekho]

The company

Founded in 2016 by Narayan Subramaniam and Niraj Rajmohan, Ultraviolette Automotive Pvt. Ltd., is an innovator in sustainable mobility and energy infrastructure. The company is developing India’s first ecosystem of high-performance electric vehicles and future-ready energy infrastructure.

The current model

At present, the Ultraviolette F77 Mach is available through the brand’s network of ‘Space Stations’ in five cities - Hyderabad, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Pune, and Bengaluru. Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Visakhapatnam, and Mangalore will be getting their own Ultraviolette stores in the coming month.

F99 electric superbikes are a milestone 

The F99 electric superbikes are a groundbreaking development in the Indian two-wheeler (2W) industry and are about to arrive sometime in 2025.

While elaborating on the significance of the F99 platform to the press, Niraj Rajmohan said, "Disruptive technology like the F99 platform – that is among the fastest & most advanced electric bikes in the World – will help India reinforce its status as a top player in the Automotive sector."

He further added, "Whilst known for contract manufacturing, we believe that with the right focus & application, the time is ripe for India to take its rightful place in the pecking order of design-led, desirable auto brands in the World."
