How did the ceremony take place?
When Bilaspur native Adnan Muhammad planned to go back to his hometown and get married, his employer refused to grant him leave. However, he needed to fulfill the wishes of his betrothed’s elderly grandfather.
So, members of Adnan's family made the journey from Bilaspur to Mandi on Sunday marking a traditional procession despite the unconventional mode of the ceremony.
Reading the incident netizens backlashed the corporate culture and considered this sort of treatment with employees as “unacceptable”. It was harsh not to grant leave to an employee for his wedding ceremony. However, the internet community appreciates the role technology plays in today’s life. It was technology that allowed the couple to enter wedlock even when their situation did not permit them.
