Tesla CEO Elon Musk's father, Errol Musk, has arrived in India as part of his five-day visit.
In an interaction with the press, he hinted at Tesla’s upcoming opportunities for India.
However, Musk Senior mentioned the need for discretion in Elon’s movements given his global stature.
Speaking to reporters about the possibility of the Tesla boss visiting India, Errol Musk said, “Elon Musk is a very important person in the world today. Every move he makes is measured in terms of what his economic impact is… So he has to be discreet or careful in how he moves or what he does, as every move is measured by the people”.

He further stated that Elon is expected to expand Starlink services in the country and assured that the tech billionaire sees promise in India, particularly in delivering rural internet connectivity.
“But at the same time, India is a place that he will come to in due course and definitely extend Starlink because it's for the rural population, Wi-Fi for the people in the countryside”, Errol Musk added.
Musk Senior made the remarks during his ongoing spiritual and business tour of India, where he visited the ISKCON Temple in Delhi on Thursday.
He also visited Ayodhya’s Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and Hanumangarhi shrine on Wednesday.
Musk Senior described the experience as “absolutely wonderful” and “one of the best things I’ve ever done.”
Dressed in a traditional kurta-pyjama and accompanied by his daughter Alexandra Musk, he said, “India is a wonderful place… The people are full of love, kindness—probably the best people you can meet.”
The billionaire CEO’s father arrived in India on June 1 and is scheduled to stay until June 6, as part of his role with Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd.
Who is Errol Musk?
The 79-year-old Errol Graham Musk is a South African businessman, politician and the patriarch of the Musk family. As an entrepreneur, Musk senior has worked as a mechanical engineering consultant, developed properties, and invested in various ventures including emerald trading. He is the latest global advisory board member of Servotech, a leading homegrown manufacturer of solar and EV charging solutions.
Notably, once Elon Musk called his father Errol a "terrible human being."
According to a PTI report, Errol Musk held multiple meetings with policymakers, investors, business leaders, and senior bureaucrats on June 2, for Servotech.
