On Saturday, entrepreneur Anupam Mittal shared a light-hearted suggestion regarding the recent wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant. Mittal, the founder of Shaadi.com, playfully remarked that the Ambani family should have broadcast the wedding on JioCinema.
In a post on X (formerly Twitter), Mittal wrote, "Dulha bhi khud ka, JioCinema bhi khud ka (Groom belongs to them, JioCinema also belongs to them). Should have broadcast 'The Shaadi', would have rivalled IPL ratings."

Mittal's comment suggested that the wedding broadcast may have matched the viewership of the Indian Premier League (IPL), one of the country's most popular cricket formats.
Anant Ambani, the youngest son of Mukesh and Nita Ambani tied the knot with Radhika Merchant on July 12. The wedding was grand, attended by numerous celebrities, cricketers, industrialists, and dignitaries.
Reportedly over 1,200 guests attended the wedding, including Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Bill Gates, Sundar Pichai, Ivanka Trump, Indian billionaires, Bollywood stars, and chiefs of state.
Internet users are giving mixed reactions to Mittal's post.
One user wrote, "Actually, people have become tired of the shaadi shenanigans displaying filth in riches! It would have been a disaster in ratings! Who wants to see Justin Bieber competing with Orry? Sorry…."
Replying to his comment, Anupam Mittal said, 'Really? Look around.
Another user wrote, "http://Shadi.com se hui hai na yeh shadi? Sach btana"
A third user replied, "Streaming rights sold to Hotstar Saadi ka paisa wasool."
