Deepinder Goyal Dismisses Reports That Aviation Startup Backed By Him Has Brought A Private Jet

Recently, Moneycontrol reported that LAT Aerospace, a Deepinder Goyal-backed startup, had purchased a private jet. However, Goyal called it a “clickbaity” headline.

On July 16, Moneycontrol published a news report that stated that a Deepinder Goyal-backed startup had purchased a private jet called the Bombardier Global Jet. 

The publication read, “The Bombardier Global series aircraft has been parked in the Delhi airport’s VIP bay since June 2025, and is scheduled to operate today, i.e. July 16, it is learnt.”

“Goyal-backed firm's purchase of a private jet comes days after he registered a 'super-luxury' apartment in DLF’s The Camellias in Gurugram for Rs 52.3 crore,” the piece added.

However, Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal has dismissed these claims.

WHAT DID DEEPINDER GOYAL SAY

Responding to Moneycontrol’s post on X (formerly Twitter) which read, “Eternal CEO Deepinder Goyal-backed LAT Aviation buys Bombardier private jet,” Deepinder Goyal called it “clickbaity.

He wrote, “For those who want facts more than clickbaity headlines – LAT is a startup, and has not bought any private jet.”

He clarified that LAT Aerospace is a startup that develops planes for regional aviation and is not involved in the business of buying planes. 

Further, he added that he currently doesn't own a private jet, but he would like to have one. 

In his words, “And, I don't own one personally either. Will be nice to have one though 🤩”

In June, Surobhi Das and Deepinder Goyal launched LAT Aerospace as a startup that aims to transform regional travel. 

According to its website, the startup is building “a network of high-frequency, low-cost, 24-seater, STOL (short take-off and landing), medium-haul aircraft.”

Reportedly, the startup has raised approximately $50 million to date. Of this amount, $20 million has come from Deepinder Goyal.
