Backed with a massive investment of Rs 1,000 crore from Reliance, soft drink brand Campa Cola is set to establish its first manufacturing unit in Bihar, which would spread over 35 acres in Begusarai.
Campa Cola relaunch
After Reliance Consumer Products (RCPL) announced the relaunch of the Campa brand in March 2023, this recent news marks one of the largest single-company investments in Bihar in recent years.
Reportedly, the proposal received clearance from the Project Clearance Committee of the Bihar Industrial Area Development Authority (BIADA) earlier this week.
According to the State Industry Department, apart from generating employment opportunities, the Campa Cola unit will also boost ancillary industries in and around Begusarai.

Bihar rising
In the same meeting, BIADA also approved land for a ₹20 crore cattle feed manufacturing unit in Muzaffarpur, to promote investment in diverse sectors across the state.
In 2023, the Adani Group announced setting up a cement plant in Varsaliganj, Nawada, on the premises of a defunct sugar mill. Several proposals from IT firms are also under discussion, indicating a shift towards a more diversified and modern industrial base in the state.
The FMCG arm of Mukesh Ambani-led Reliance Group’s announcement of setting up Campa Cola’s first manufacturing unit in Bihar has acted as a strong signal to investors to consider the state for large-scale industrial operations.
Interestingly, actor Ram Charan has been chosen as the new face of Campa alongside the launch of a new marketing campaign, "Campa Wali Zidd", which showcases determination and resilience.
