An unexpected encounter in Goa has brought together Bengaluru techie Sid Puri and the co-founder of Zerodha, Nikhil Kamath. This chance meeting, documented through a selfie shared on social media, has sparked curiosity and conversation among netizens.

The Meet-Up in Goa

It all began when Sid took to social media to share a selfie he snapped with Nikhil Kamath in the scenic locales of Goa. The post quickly gained attention, with fellow users expressing interest and dropping comments on the unique encounter. In response to queries, the techie revealed that the rendezvous took place at a popular cafe in Assagao, Goa.

"Goa >> everywhere else. Ran into the OG Bangalore boy Nikhil Kamath," Sid Puri wrote in a social media post on Sunday along with a photo with the Zerodha boss. Kamath, 38, was seen in a casual sleeveless black t-shirt with his hand around the engineer smiling for the photograph.

A Familiar Face

Interestingly, the Bengaluru techie in question is no stranger to chance celebrity encounters. Not long ago, he bumped into Google CEO Sundar Pichai on the streets of San Francisco. In a throwback post, he humorously recounted the unexpected run-in with Pichai, adding a touch of whimsy to his growing list of unexpected celebrity sightings.

"Go to SF they said, no one prepared me to just run into Sundar Pichai on the street,” Sid the techie shared on X last year, along with a photo with the Indian-origin tech leader.

Tech CEO Bingo

When an individual jokingly asked if his next meeting would be with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the techie quipped, "I'm playing tech CEO bingo, not world leader bingo." The humorous remark added a lighthearted twist to his string of fortuitous meetings with notable personalities. With each encounter, the techie's social media presence gained momentum, drawing playful comparisons and predictions from amused followers.

Incidentally, Zerodha co-founder Nikhil Kamath stands out as one of India's youngest billionaires. With a net worth of $3.1 billion, Kamath has carved a niche for himself in the tech and financial sectors. Notably, he also holds the distinction of being one of India's youngest philanthropists, as recognized by the Hurun India Philanthropy List 2024.
