A Bengaluru-based CEO recently shared a post on LinkedIn about how dating life can be tough for a startup founder. Divyanshu Shekhar, the CEO wrote: “Dating as a founder is tough. I go in hoping to talk about feelings... and somehow end up pitching my business plan. Is it even a real date if I didn't try to explain my 'vision'? 😂”

Although shared on a lighter note, his post has gone viral because netizens have supported his views. Divyanshu’s post received a series of comments with users sharing their experiences about maintaining a balance between startups and romance.

Netizens react

“Relationships are more than just falling in love, especially for founders 😂,” remarked an individual.

Another LinkedIn user wrote: “Ok now someone needs to build a special dating app for entrepreneurs, only because entrepreneurs minded partners can understand and live together, 💁”

A third user commented: “You need to keep your personal and professional lives separate 😁 but has any girl showed interest in funding your venture? One quick way to check is if she is showing any interest in splitting the bill first. Pitch only if your date wants to split the bill. 😁”

The comment section was full of humorous yet witty opinions.

Another person suggested: “I guess a visionary founder will always end up talking about his plans, goals, strategy etc, because they are passionate about it, there is no harm about it, you'll always find people around who carry similar energy like you, wait till you find that and then pitch them, till then make your project an investor s friendly project, and it's not easy to differentiate the personal life and professional life always after all the professional life becomes a priority for a founder and co-founder by default, so it's better to show that inclination beforehand before committing anything 😊”
