Mahindra Aerostructures, a unit of the renowned Indian automaker Mahindra and Mahindra, has received an order from the French Airbus Helicopters to manufacture and assemble the main fuselage of its H130 light single-engine helicopter.

Anand Mahindra posts feat on X

Mahindra Group chairman Anand Mahindra recently shared this feat on the social media platform X, “India: the world’s manufacturing destination.”

As shared by the company, Mahindra Aerostructures will produce the H130’s main fuselage assembly, which will then be shipped to Airbus Helicopters’ facilities in Europe.

The H130 is an intermediate single-engine helicopter which would be used for transporting passengers.

Last year, the Airbus unit had signed a deal with Tata group to manufacture civilian helicopters together.

Claiming that India is becoming a global manufacturing destination, Anand Mahindra concluded his post by affirming, “It’s happening.”
