Mukesh Ambani on Sunday announced a massive doubling of Reliance Industries' investment in Gujarat, pledging ₹7 lakh crore over the next five years.

Speaking at the Vibrant Gujarat Regional Summit in Rajkot, the chairman of RIL framed the investment as a "Sankalp" (vow) to move the state from potential to performance.
This capital infusion follows an investment of ₹3.5 lakh crore over the previous five-year period (2021–2026) for a future-ready green and digital economy, shifting from its legacy hydrocarbon-heavy roots.
Addressing a distinguished gathering that included Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Gujarat CM Bhupendra Patel, and top industry leaders, the Reliance Industries Chairman spoke about five "firm commitments" to the state.
Pledging ₹7 lakh crore to drive exponential employment and create "greater sampatti (wealth) for every Gujarati and every Indian".
Reliance aspires to transform Jamnagar into the world's largest integrated clean energy ecosystem, spanning solar, battery storage, green hydrogen, and sustainable aviation fuels.
It is building a multi-gigawatt utility-scale solar project to deliver round-the-clock clean power through advanced grid integration.
The conglomerate is supporting India’s bid for the 2036 Olympics by partnering with the state to manage the Veer Savarkar Multi-Sports Complex, alongside expanding world-class healthcare and education in Saurashtra.
"India has the invincible protective wall called Narendrabhai Modi," Ambani said during his speech. "Under the Prime Minister’s leadership, India is not just preparing for the future; India is shaping it".
