Eternal Ltd, the parent company of quick commerce platforms such as Zomato and Blinkit, has entered into a strategic collaboration with OpenAI to expand artificial intelligence integration across its businesses.
Eternal-OpenAI partnership
The company announced on Tuesday, Feb 17, that the partnership will span consumer apps, partner platforms and internal systems.
The new collaboration will cover Eternal’s platforms, including Zomato, Blinkit, District, Hyperpure and its AI native startup Nugget.
Eternal said it is considering integrating OpenAI’s latest coding models, including GPT 5.3 Codex, into Stitch, its in-house automation and developer orchestration platform.
The Indian quick commerce giant will also work with OpenAI’s Enterprise API platform to explore new ways customers and partners interact with its services.
The focus areas would include:
AI-assisted workflows to support merchants and delivery partners
Context-aware AI assistants embedded within partner portals
Pilots for next-generation search and discovery experiences
Deployment of advanced coding models across internal systems
“From high-leverage areas like software development to real on-ground implications of influencing operations, we are learning about the evolving implementations of newer and developing tools in the AI landscape. We are happy that this collaboration with OpenAI will open up even more surface area for us to learn and innovate”, said Albinder Dhindsa, Group CEO, Eternal.

Eternal said it is developing AI as foundational infrastructure across its commerce ecosystem.
“Eternal operates at a meaningful scale across consumer and partner platforms. We are excited to support their teams in applying AI advancements to real-world systems, from AI-native ventures to partner-facing initiatives,” said Oliver Jay, Managing Director, International, OpenAI.
The two companies will also explore launching a structured Partner Upskilling Programme to deploy advanced AI tools within restaurant and delivery partner applications to improve operational efficiency and compliance.
Eternal Ltd shares ended lower on Tuesday, February 17, by 1.83% at ₹281.35 on the NSE.
